We have compiled this list of "must read" books about mushing for use by schools and other groups (approx. grade level).  There are lots of good books out there - this is certainly not any where near a complete list!  Please feel free to email us with your suggestions and we will include them.

    Dogsong, 1985, Simon Pulse – story of a 14-yr old Inuit boy who learns the magic of running dogs from a tribal shaman (4-8)
    Woodsong, 1990, Aladdin Paperbacks – author’s account of running his dog team in Minnesota and Alaska (4-8)
    Winterdance, 1994, Harvest Books – autobiography of the author’s first Iditarod race (9-Adult)
